Cinema Vocabulary
Last night, Samuel attended the big international premiere of a famous European movie at the local cinema festival. He felt very lucky because he bought the tickets online several months ago to support independent art. When he entered the main room, he saw the famous director and the main actors talking to the journalists. Samuel sat down in his comfortable seat, the lights turned off, and the long creative film finally started. However, he discovered a major problem with the screen projections after a few short minutes. The movie was in German, and the screen displayed subtitles in Chinese instead of English. Samuel did not understand the language, so following the complex romantic plot became a completely impossible task. He realized that the writers created a very deep and intelligent script, but he only saw confusing letters. In the end, he decided to leave the dark room early to drink a cup of coffee.
