Iris feels very frustrated because her computer freezes while she edits a high-definition video for her college project. She decides to open the metal case to inspect the hardware components and fix the performance issue. First, she looks at the massive main circuit board called the motherboard that connects all the electronic pieces together. Right in the center, she locates the powerful processor which acts as the brain of the machine to handle data. She touches the cooling fan on top of it and notices it is completely covered in thick grey dust. Iris then removes the heavy graphics card to clean the slot that processes the video images for her monitor. Next, she checks the long RAM sticks to make sure her temporary memory is inserted correctly. Finally, she blows air near the solid hard drive where all her heavy project files and videos are permanently stored. She cleans everything carefully, closes the case, and smiles when her computer starts running fast again.
